About This Course

The CompTIA Server+ certification is an industry recognized vendor neutral credential for networking professionals. The certification is proof of a person's competence across a wide spectrum of server issues and technology, including disaster recovery and provesand proves knowledge of server, hardware and software.

The CompTIA Server+ certification exam is a standalone certification from CompTIA with the exam code SK0-002.

The certification is targeted attechnical support professionals who have knowledge in areas such as RAID, SCSI, and multiple CPUs, as well as capabilities with server issues, including disaster recovery. The exam covers system hardware, software, storage, IT environment, disaster recovery and troubleshooting. The new code of the exam is SK0-003

The CompTIA SK0-003 exam is administered by Pearson VUE at testing centers worldwide. Click here to find a testing center near you.

The exam consists of linear, fact-based, multiple-choice questions.

While there are no official prerequisites to take the Server+ certification, both CompTIA and uCertify strongly recommend that the candidate have 18 to 24 months experience in server technology, along with a CompTIA A+ certification. .

The exam contains 100 questions.

In the event that you fail your first attempt at passing the Server+ certification, CompTIA's retake policy is:

  • CompTIA does not require any waiting period between the first andsecond attempt to pass such examination. However, before your third attempt or any subsequent attempt to pass such examination, you shall be required to wait for a period of at least fourteen calendar days from the date of your last attempt to pass such examination.
  • If a candidate has passed an exam, he/she cannot take it again without prior consent from CompTIA.
  • A test result found to be in violation of the retake policy will not be processed, which will result in no credit awarded for the test taken. Repeat violators will be banned from participation in the CompTIA Certification Program.
  • Candidates must pay the exam price each time they attempt the exam. CompTIA does not offer any free re-tests or discounts on retakes.

CompTIA Server+ certification exam is no more available. Candidate may take test with the new exam code SY0-003
